Distribution agreement expands life science tools in Japan

19 Mar, 2026

Epigenica AB has entered into a distribution agreement with PrimeTech Co, Ltd, strengthening access to its EpiFinder™ platform across Japan’s rapidly growing life science sector.

The partnership will see PrimeTech distribute Epigenica’s epigenetic analysis kits and support their adoption among academic, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical researchers throughout Japan. The move marks a significant step in expanding the company’s presence in Asia, where demand for advanced genomics and biomarker discovery tools continues to accelerate.

Japan remains one of the most established and innovation-driven life science markets globally, with strong activity in genomics, precision medicine, and translational research. Through PrimeTech’s established network, Epigenica aims to enable wider use of its high-throughput epigenetic profiling technology in both research and clinical discovery settings.

“Japan is home to world-leading research institutions and a strong commitment to next-generation omics technologies,” said Mohamad Takwa, CEO and co-founder of Epigenica. “Working with PrimeTech allows us to bring EpiFinder closer to researchers driving discovery in areas such as cancer, ageing, and personalised medicine.”

PrimeTech highlighted the growing importance of scalable epigenetic tools in advancing biomarker research and translational science. “EpiFinder opens up powerful new possibilities for high-resolution epigenetic analysis,” said Ryosuke Ogihara, CEO of PrimeTech. “We are pleased to support its introduction to the Japanese research community.”

Epigenica’s EpiFinder platform enables high-throughput epigenetic profiling across multiple sample types, including tissue and blood-derived circulating nucleosomes, supporting research into gene regulation and disease-associated biomarkers.

The agreement forms part of Epigenica’s broader international growth strategy, increasing access to its technology in key global research markets.
