DNA / RNA
Integra Biosciences has expanded the availability of its MAGFLO™ NGS magnetic beads across Europe and North America, providing laboratories with a new option for nucleic acid purification, size selection and PCR clean-up workflows.
Designed for next-generation sequencing (NGS) applications, the beads support single- and double-sided size selection, helping researchers achieve consistent DNA and RNA fragment sizes across a range of workflows. The technology is suitable for fragmented DNA, RNA, cDNA and PCR products, as well as long DNA fragments and genomic DNA applications for long-read sequencing.
MAGFLO™ NGS magnetic beads are QC verified, RNase free and stable at room temperature, offering laboratories a practical solution for improving workflow flexibility and reproducibility. They are also compatible with established size selection protocols, providing an alternative for researchers looking to optimise their sample preparation processes.
The beads can be incorporated into semi- or fully automated workflows using Integra’s liquid handling platforms, including the ASSIST PLUS pipetting robot with MAG or HEATMAG modules, as well as VIAFLO 96 and VIAFLO 384 electronic pipettes. This enables streamlined DNA clean-up and size selection while reducing manual processing.
In performance validation, MAGFLO™ NGS magnetic beads demonstrated comparable sequencing metrics and no detectable bias when benchmarked against industry-standard beads in Illumina MiSeq amplicon sequencing workflows.
The expanded availability of MAGFLO™ NGS magnetic beads supports wider access to flexible, scalable sample preparation solutions for genomics laboratories.
