Ellutia are pleased to launch the 7000 Flowmeter for use in GC, the follow up to the best selling 6000 Flowmeter. From listening to customer feedback on the previous model the 7000 Flowmeter has a number of improvements over its predecessor. The pocketsized unit is now smaller (130 x 68 x 30mm), lighter (150g), features a built in rechargeable battery and a full colour display. Despite the reduction in size the Flowmeter still offers the analytical performance required:

  • Measures flows of Nitrogen, Air, Helium, Hydrogen, Carbon Dioxide, Oxygen, Argon and Argon/5% Methane
  • Resolution of 0.1ml/min
  • Range of 0.1 to 500 ml/min (0.1-275 ml/min for CO2)
  • Accuracy +- 2.5% or 0.4 ml/min
  • Calibration traceable to UKAS Standards

In addition to standard flow measurement the 7000 Flowmeter has several modes designed specifically for the GC user. Linear Velocity mode allows the user to set their column diameter and then display the average column velocity in cm/sec. Split Flow mode allows the user to see a live display of both the split flow and split ratio. Accurate and repeatable gas flow measurements are a crucial part of obtaining good results from your Gas Chromatograph. The new 7000 Flowmeter makes gas flow measurement easier and more accurate, helping to eliminate user errors. We are very excited to be able to offer 7000 Flowmeter at a price point significantly lower than other models on the market. We hope that this low price will allow chromatographers who previously could not justify the expense of other higher priced flowmeter’s the chance to have access to this valuable tool.
