New High Capacity Ergonomic 3 Litre Centrifuges

Apr 25 2012

Awel International has launched 4 x750ml refrigerated centrifuges in both bench-top and floor-standing versions. A higher than usual capacity of up to 124 x 5-7ml blood tubes, 60 x 15ml conicals and a wide variety of other sample containers can be processed. Access to the chamber is easy for loading and unloading the rotor, even for the CF
108-R bench-top model, because with the AWELook™ ergonomic design it is much lower than ordinary centrifuges (these are up to 40% taller). A motorised lid lock means that no effort is required for opening or closing.

The AWELock™ system enables the rotor to be removed in seconds without tools for cleaning and decontaminating the chamber, ensuring that samples are handled in a safe environment and extending the life of the centrifuge and the accessories. The AWELight™ feature, by which the lid handle lights up immediately the rotor comes to a halt,
optimises the frequency of centrifugation runs and ensures the highest quality of results by inviting the samples to be treated as soon as the separation has been achieved. Both the CF 108-GR floor-standing model and CF 108-R are of compact dimensions, liberating valuable space and making their installation easy in the laboratory.

The CF series offers versatile yet easy-to-use programming with a bright display, incorporating colour-coded status indicators, that is visible across the lab. With an energy regulation program and automatic shutdown when unused, an Awel centrifuge consumes less energy than its counterparts. The manufacturing process incorporates recycling for
sustainable development. Award-winning Awel International, with several patents to its name, develops its customer benefits with a team of over 25 years’ experience in centrifugation, a brand new factory with the latest machine tools and designs and manufactures its own electronics.
