Esco Micro Pte Ltd is making inroads into India's large life sciences and biotechnology market by establishing an Indian joint venture office with Saksham Technologies, India. The new company, Esco Biotech Pvt Ltd, will become a direct presence for Esco in the Indian market, particularly so for Esco's Biotech Equipment division which manufactures clean-air containment cabinets, including laminar flow and biosafety cabinets for the laboratory.
The office is located in Mumbai, India's economic hub, to facilitate the establishment of a nationwide distribution system. Since India has been identified as one of the major markets for Esco, the joint venture approach was used for entry into this country of diverse races, languages, religions and cultures, to build up a system of marketing, sales, service and after-sales service across the country.
Other functions of Esco Biotech Pvt Ltd include:
- Consolidating operations and managing the distribution channels in the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western regions of India.
- Organizing nationwide seminars and symposiums
- Participating in exhibitions and trade shows in
- Build local support on service and spare parts
- Hosting a custom-bonded warehouse in for Esco products
- Participating directly in government tenders and projects.
