Move over stove-top immersion baths and bench top pasteurisation. Miele Professional, a world renowned leader in critical cleaning applications, has a proven solution for testing new food additives and flavors through pasteurisation in its laboratory glassware washers.

Miele’s model PG8535 laboratory glassware washer, available in September 2011, has been designed to programme the correct temperature holding time allowing dedicated contact temperature to your bottles or containers, gently heating the enclosed liquids to the correct temperature. Using our duel temperature sensors we can guarantee accurate temperature logging.

According to Malcolm Peck, Miele Professional’s laboratory application specialist, this is a process that cannot be duplicated by just any washer. “The washer must have freely programmable temperature controls, where the temperature of the water can be controlled in each step of the program; held for specific times; with accuracy,” he stated.

How It Works

The PG8535 simulates tunnel washer conditions on a smaller scale – i.e. bottles are sprayed with water at a specific temperature but stay in place in the wash chamber. With the PG8535, temperatures can be raised step-by-step then held for a specific time interval and lowered. This temperature ramping can be customised for a particular liquid and flavor. For example, the program can be written with a number of steps, with each step raising the temperature to a pre-determined figure then holding that temperature for a given time designated by the researcher. Since the programming is easily done via the control panel on the front of the labwasher, optimal hold times and temperatures can be Determined with minimal testing. Miele provides on site training in the operation of the machine and custom programming to set up a pasteurisation program. This is included for every machine purchased.

Other Features

Like all models from the new PG 85 range, the PG 8536 series - as the first in its category - offers arange of  innovations such as Perfect Speed sprayarm monitoring, temperature-independent Perfect Flo dispensing control on the basis of ultrasound, as well as Perfect Pure Sensor conductivity metering. The consistent application of state-ofthe-

art technologies in combination with Miele's legendary quality guarantees users dependability and unsurpassed

efficiency.
