New Thermo Scientific™ barcoded latch racks offer an elevated level of traceability for samples in the cold storage workflow

Scientists know and trust our Thermo Scientific™ Matrix™ 2D barcoded tubes and recognize that they offer superior sample protection in cryogenic storage. Matrix tubes are constructed of virgin class VI medical grade polypropylene with ScrewTop caps featuring a molded TPE gasket that conforms to mating surfaces to ensure sample containment and protection. Each Matrix tube has a permanent, unique 2D barcode etched into the tube bottom for sample tracking. 

Matrix 2D tubes are supplied in a durable ANSI standard footprint latch rack with a locking lid to prevent tubes from tumbling out. The racks are constructed of sturdy ABS plastic to protect tubes in case of accidental dropping. ScrewTop tubes and racks are viable at temperatures down to -196°C (VPLN) and are compatible with automation equipment including robotic systems.

Introducing our new barcoded latch racks, which allow you to track the entire rack of samples in addition to each individual tube, without relying on adhesive labels which can fall off and become lost. Barcoded racks feature a linear barcode, a 2D barcode, and human readable type etched into three sides of the rack, plus a 2D barcode on the bottom of each rack. The barcodes are compatible with commercial barcode readers and sample tracking software. The result is unrivaled sample tracking for every sample in your store. Lost or mislabeled tube racks are a thing of the past with new Thermo Scientific barcoded latch racks.
