Agar Scientific appoints Steve Cham

Agar Scientific, a leading supplier of microscopy accessories and consumables for forty years, has announced the appointment of Steve Cham as its new Technical Sales Manager to expand and grow their support to the microscopy market-place.

Speaking about the appointment, Director of Market Development, Dr Lynne Joyce, notes that Steve brings a wealth of business and technical experience to Agar at a time when the company is expanding under parent company, Elektron Technology. "Steve is a well-known face in the microscopy world having served Leica Microsystems in a number of roles including working for their Biosystems division as regional sales manager (Northern Europe), gaining experience in specimen preparation for histology and electron microscopy and most notably being responsible for integrating a number of consumables businesses into the Leica portfolio. This range of experiences will greatly enhance Agar's position as we celebrate our 40th year in business."

Steve attended the recent European Microscopy Congress in Manchester (September) where he enjoyed meeting customers face to face and learning about their needs. “My role is to work with Lynne and the team to grow our business. This starts with listening to what the market wants so we can grow with changing needs while still continuing to supply our existing range through both catalogue and web-based sales."
