Direct Analysis of Larger Samples
Apr 02 2014
JEOL SEMs and mass spectrometers are ideal for use by forensic investigators in crime labs, forensic science centres and government agencies. The imaging and analytical ability of these sensitive yet easy-to-use instruments reveal startling physical and chemical evidence that might otherwise be easily overlooked. JEOL SEMs accommodate large samples, so evidence is not destroyed, while the JEOL DART open air mass spectrometer analyses samples such as writing inks on documents or explosives on clothing without altering the materials in any way.
Both types of instrument can be useful for crime scene investigation; accident reconstruction; ballistics; explosives detection; toxicology; arson Investigations; gun shot residue analysis; trace evidence and failure analysis.
