All top loading models in the Priorclave brand of research-grade laboratory autoclaves are fitted with the very latest TACTROL®3. They feature crystal-clear LCD displays and provide the user with a more simplistic approach to function settings, achieving more precise control as well as showing information on cycle process. This helps laboratories achieve the ultimate in their sterilisation process, to assist in improving lab efficiencies.

The current range of top-loading autoclaves includes Compact models; the C60, a 60-litre capacity, top-loading machine with an internal depth of 625mm and a larger capacity C85 autoclave which has an internal depth of 890mm.

Each of these laboratory autoclave requires floor space of less than half square metre, this compact footprint often less than sterilisers with a smaller chamber capacity.

Although requiring a smaller footprint, the COMPACT range of top loading sterilisers developed by British autoclave specialist Priorclave is built to exacting high standards in its own UK manufacturing centre. Assured of reliable performance and whether for general day-to-day laboratory sterilising applications or the more demanding needs of research labs, this COMPACT range comes equipped with featured-packed controls.

Both models offer the flexibility of either accommodating large, tall single items or many smaller items held in up to three stainless steel sterilising baskets. The smaller of the two models with its 60-litre chamber can accommodate easily ten one-litre or sixteen 500ml bottles, alternatively six one-litre Erlenmeyer flasks.

Access to the sterilising chamber is gained through a Quickseal single-action door closure/opening mechanism designed for one handed operation. Incorporation of thermal and pressure locks prevents opening at unsafe temperatures and pressures to prevent personal injury.

Whilst offering a more simplified to function settings, the new TACTROL®3 still retains the simple to use day to day operation of previous versions with Start, Vent and Door buttons.

Settings and viewing of functions are simply accessed through a five-button keypad and displayed on the high-resolution LCD display panel. The manufacturer goes to some length to point out that this not a touchscreen type. This has significant advantages for the laboratory sector where settings can be made and checked without having to remove protective gloves.

In addition, the controller provides full setting security, managed with passcodes and a manual key-switch, making it ideal for environments where pre-programs need to be kept tamperproof. These would include pharmaceutical, food and beverage, dairy as well as critical research centres.

This versatile Compact range of top-loading autoclaves is available as a standard design or with vacuum facility. The electrically heated elements are contained within the actual chamber, achieving faster and more efficient build-up of high-temperature, pressurised sterilising steam. It makes then an extremely cost-efficient autoclave ideal for either continuous or periodic sterilising requirements.

Buy Priorclave autoclaves in the knowledge that every care has been taken to build robust machines with a superior exterior finish to body panels and frames preventing potential for cross-contamination within laboratories.
