Rapid plant DNA extraction kit

26 May, 2026

Plant DNA extraction is often hindered by compounds such as polyphenols, polysaccharides, and pigments that co-purify with DNA and interfere with downstream applications. These contaminants can reduce the quality of PCR, genotyping, and sequencing results, while traditional silica-based methods frequently require protocol adjustments or struggle with difficult plant tissues.

The EchoLUTION Plant DNA Kit addresses these limitations using BioEcho’s flow-through purification technology. Instead of binding DNA to a solid matrix, the system allows nucleic acids to pass through while retaining inhibitors and cellular debris, producing high-molecular-weight genomic DNA in a streamlined, single-step workflow completed in under 90 minutes.

The approach is designed to improve consistency across a wide range of plant species and tissue types, delivering DNA suitable for molecular biology applications including PCR, genotyping, and next-generation sequencing.

Performance comparisons across multiple crop species, including cereals and leafy tissues, indicate strong DNA purity and sequencing compatibility, with reduced variability compared with conventional bead-based methods.

The kit supports both low- and high-throughput workflows, processing up to 96 samples in 90 minutes and available in tube- and plate-based formats, including 96- and 384-well configurations. It is compatible with a broad range of plant species, from staple crops such as wheat and barley to fruit and vegetable tissues.
