The schuett colonyQuant automated colony counter provides a high quality solution for counting colonies within seconds and guarantees precise results.

For a given method, the system stores and remembers the camera settings and also all adjustments as far as colour, size and shape of the colonies are concerned. It takes a matter of seconds to change between various methods and settings for similar types of samples.

The colour video camera (autozoom+autofocus) always starts with a live colour picture of your sample and fine tuning for each picture happens automatically. A high resolution 2 Megapixel camera detects colonies as small as 0.45 mm.

The unit contains a light tight sample compartment which is closed on three sides with a door in front, which must be closed only if really needed. There are three sample levels for perfect illumination of the samples with lighting from the top, side and from bottom.

Fluorescence UV-light source is supplied as standard. The schuett colonyQuant automated colony counter is perfect for analysis of inhibition zones and spiral plating dishes, as well as counting dishes of Ames test cultures and removing grids from nutrient disks.

The system arrives in your laboratory fully integrated and tested, including computer and monitor.

Visit schuett at Biotechnica, 8-10 October 2013 in Hanover, Germany – Booth 09/G73.
