Innovative infrared heating technology from Wiggens has been used to produce the new generation hotplate-stirrer WH260 series. These laboratory stirrers are extremely well suited for gentle to intensive mixing of liquids, whilst concurrently quickly heating the liquids or simply keeping them at a steady temperature. The maximum temperature on the top plate allows up to 500℃.

Infrared heating (IR) technology provides a high temperature hot plate stirrer with very high heating density that can reach a high median temperature. Ceramic glass by Schott combines chemical resistance, top quality surfaces and resistance to temperature shocks of greater than 700℃.

By selecting an external temperature sensor, the control mode will switch automatically, allowing the sample temperature to be set and controlled directly. The sealed outer shell and isolated critical parts are designed for enhanced longevity, even in a harsh laboratory environment. The 3 sets of PID parameters means faster heating effect and better temperature stability are achieved.

A large LCD display is used to show and control all functions. The control panel sets working temperature, stirring speed, working time and safety temperature easily via rotating knobs. The memory function for stirring speeds and temperature settings provides convenience for experiments with fixed conditions.

Two models are available in this series: the WH260-H with square top plate, 180×180mm, 1000W, for general applications; the WH260-R with round top plate, φ135mm, 800W, for parallel applications.
