Imaging Systems for Image Capture and Fluorescence Applications

Dec 20 2005

Olympus today introduced three members of its newly launched cell* family of imaging systems. The cell^D, cell^F and cell^P provide advanced functions for easy image capture and documentation, as well as for fluorescence applications and comprehensive research. These systems are made up of cameras, microscopes and illumination systems all from Olympus, and controlled by advanced software, ensuring that all parts work as one

The cell* family software package is fully adaptable to the required level of experimentation. It combines control of all hardware with intelligent image capture, efficient image processing, automatic analysis, structured image and data archiving, as well as automatic report generation. In addition, as a Windows-based package, it can be intuitively customised to meet personal workflow requirements.

The cell^D provides comprehensive documentation and control and represents the base-level system for image acquisition, archiving and documentation in the biological field. The cell^D offers highly advanced functionality including: rapid acquisition of image sequences (monochrome or colour); direct transfer of images to the web; image creation with unlimited sharpness; numerous image processing operations and interactive measurements.
