Hamamatsu Photonics KK has announced that it will begin construction of a new building at its Toyooka Factory, the primary manufacturing location of the Electron Tube Division. The new Building Number 10 will serve to increase the division’s capacity for PMT (photomultiplier tube) manufacturing. It will be built on reclaimed land in the northern part of the factory, which is located in Iwata City.
A ground breaking ceremony has already been held and the new building is expected to be completed by January 2015.
