A Company with a View to the Future!

Lorne Laboratories Ltd is an independent Company in England that for 30 years has manufactured and distributed a comprehensive range of reagents and associated products for blood transfusion, immunology and serodiagnosis.

The main aim of the Company is to provide quality products at attractive prices, backed up by a first class service for its customers in the UK and in excess of 60 distributors worldwide. In addition, Lorne is the UK distributor for Worthington Biochemicals & Rockland Immunochemicals. Lorne reagents comply with the BCSH/BBTS UK Guidelines for the Blood Transfusion Service and are CE marked for the In-Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device Directive (98/79/EC). The Lorne Quality System is audited to BS EN 46001, EN 928 and ISO 13485.

The comprehensive range of high quality products includes:

Monoclonal antibodies for ABO and D typing, Rhesus phenotyping for C, c, E, e, and CDE antigens; Lectins, human and monoclonal antibodies to other rare blood group systems including MNSs, P1, Kell, Duffy, Kidd, Cellano, Lutheran and Lewis; Polyspecific antihuman globulin (AHG), enzymes, LISS, PEG, albumin; Red cells for screening, antibody identification panels, Coombs control cells; Preservatives, Essex block files, Brighton slide stacks and disposable test cards.

All Lorne instruments are manufactured in the EC and carry the CE mark to comply with the latest EC Directives and British Standards. Blood Banks comply with BS 4376:1991 (Part 1) and Plasma Freezers with BS 4376:1996 (Part 2).
