Oct 09 2017
David Taylor, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman at MR Solutions, was presented with the Queen’s Award for International Trade by the Lord- Lieutenant of Surrey Michael More-Molyneux at the company’s Guildford Headquarters. Deputy Lieutenant Charles Fowler read the citation during the ceremony in September, which was also attended by The Mayor of Guildford, Councillor Nigel Manning, the Rt. Hon. Anne Milton, MP for Guildford and Minister of State for Apprenticeships and Skills and all the employees.
The company’s progression has been driven by strong investment in the development and commercialisation of its ground-breaking cryogen-free preclinical MRI imaging technology which be combined with other imaging capabilities such as PET or SPECT.
This success is a real team effort. We are thrilled to receive the Queen’s Award for International Trade from the Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey – this is particularly appreciated as we won the Queen’s Award for Innovation last year. The whole ethos of the company is to be at the forefront of technology and it is that that differentiates us so substantially from our competitors and has led to our success,” Dr Taylor said.
The company also attended a winner’s reception at Buckingham Palace hosted by Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh earlier this year. Representing MR Solutions was Dr David Taylor and Dr Vera Zhang, Director of MR Solutions’ international office based in Boston.
