Vertical autoclaves preferred for life-science research

Top-loading vertical autoclaves remain one of the most popular designs for life-science research, not only because they can accommodate the tallest of flasks, fermenters, and bioreactors, but because they’re excellent for processing mixed waste, biological waste, pathogen-heavy materials, porous loads, as well as cloth and textile sterilisation, soil and substrate preparation, and wrapped instruments.

Priorclave’s EV100-SMART autoclave continues to be amongst the most well-suited top-loaders, ideal for laboratories looking for a cost-effective vertical chamber steriliser. It is fitted with a Quickseal single-action door with both thermal and pressure locks to prevent opening at load temperatures above 80°C and pressures above 0.2 bar. Both the door and chamber are constructed with PED-certified 316L Stainless Steel, which ensures durability and resistance to corrosion. Other features include Automatic timed free-steaming, Forced Air Cooling, Pre-cycle vacuum in which multiple Vacuum stages are programmed with interspersed heating to achieve steam penetration, Vacuum-assisted drying, and Biomaster ™ anti-bacterial coatings on external surfaces which is effective against bacteria and fungi including MRSA, this additional coating enhances the longevity and performance, reducing the risk of microbial growth or cross-contamination. All variants of Priorclave’s top-loading vertical autoclaves, from the V60-BASE model to the SV150-SMART model include Priorclave’s exclusive programmable Tactrol®3 Control System, enabling a simple "one-touch" start even whilst wearing gloves. The EV100-SMART is also supplied with two 100L stainless baskets included for easier loading/unloading.

Priorclave has designed and built research and laboratory-grade autoclaves in London since 1988, with their very first autoclave still in operation today. Priorclave prides itself on producing robust and reliable autoclaves, that produce results you can rely on.
