Gloves, overalls, protective clothing all need testing for their resistance to breakdown under chemical attack. The standard test for this is to place a sample of the material in a cell which allows the challenge chemical to be in contact with one face of the material and a sample gas to be passed across the other face. The sample gas can then be analysed for the amount of the attack chemical passing through the material. A number of analyses are then plotted over a period of time.

Ellutia have created a fully automated permeation break through analysis system. The system fully automates the analysis of up to 10 cells. Plotting graphs and reports via custom software tailored to the customer's individual needs.

This custom solution is just one example of the type of specially engineered chromatography system Ellutia can design and supply.
