Metrohm is pleased to announce the publication of a new brochure presenting application know-how and instrumentation for quality control of beverage products. «Beverage analysis» presents solutions for laboratory analysis as well as process control (atline and online). The new brochure includes information about relevant norms and standards (AOAC, ISO, ASTM, EPA, DIN EN, SLB) and is a valuable tool for anyone, who wants to learn more about chemical analysis for quality control in the beverage industry. Beverage analysis is available free of charge and can be downloaded from online.

The new brochure includes applications for analysis of mineral and drinking water, soft drinks (juices), coffee, tea, etc, alcoholic beverages (wine, beer, spirits), and liquid food (e.g., milk). Determination of disinfectants used in cleaning processes in bottling plants is treated as well. Methods described include titration, pH and conductivity measurement, ion chromatography (IC), and voltammetry. These methods are not simply described, but practical challenges (what kind of sensor to use and why?) are addressed as well.

Readers interested in detailed information about particular applications find the respective Metrohm number codes listed on the last pages of the brochure. From there, it is just two clicks on beverages.metrohm.com to look up and download the application note.
