Sodexo has recently announced the creation of a new industry focussed pharmaceutical division to address the continued increase in demand for its services. Building on its successful partnerships with the pharmaceutical industry over the past eight years, Sodexo has recently seen further growth in food, general services and technical support areas.

Alongside its traditional FM services, Sodexo has introduced a team of technical experts to selfdeliver lab instrument services. This specialist support includes: solution repair services, decommissioning, scientific equipment installation, laboratory moves, preventative maintenance,

calibration, operational qualification, full account management, financial reporting asset management IT solution, waste management and Cryogenics. In 2007, Sodexo and GSK won the prestigious PFM award for Expert Services, which recognises the partnerships and innovation between clients and suppliers with specific skills and expertise in engineering and technical support services. More recently, in October 2008, Sodexo secured The BIFM Innovations in Systems and Services award for its work with a key pharmaceutical client.
