Oct 31 2012
Analytik Jena AG has celebrated the opening of a new competence centre in Moscow, a shared project which includes Russian sales partner InterLab Inc, and the Moscow Zelinsky Institute for Organic Chemistry (Russian Academy of Sciences).
The opening fits well into the German-Russian year of education, science and innovation 2011/2012, and is an actual proof of the close cooperation between both countries.
The ceremony was attended by high-ranking government representatives - including the prime minister of the Free State of Thuringia, Christine Lieberknecht - scientists and representatives of the Academy of Sciences, as well as the chief executive of Analytik Jena AG, Klaus Berka, and other managers of Analytik Jena and InterLab.
The competency centre, located in the main building of the Zelinsky Institute, consists of a research lab as well as a seminar and training area with some of the latest Analytik Jena analytical instruments.
"The opening of the competence centre marks the start of a new era in the long-term cooperation with our Russian customers. The new competence centre is going to contribute to providing even better support to our customers and assisting them in solving their analytical tasks. Of course we also hope to be able to open up the Russian market more for our products and services. We estimate the Russian market to be one of the most important future markets", said Klaus Berka, chair of the board of Analytik Jena
