Dionex Corporation’s Reagent-Free™ Ion Chromatography (RFIC™) technology has once again received an award for innovation. The company was represented at the R&D Magazine’s R&D 100 2009 award ceremony

held in Orlando, Florida (Nov 2009) by Yan Liu, the primary inventor of the RFIC product and Chris Pohl, Senior Vice President of Research & Development, pictured accepting the Award. Other inventors and patent recipients of the RFIC product include: Kannan Srinivasan, Sheetal Bhardwaj, Zhongqing Lu, and Chris Pohl. Said to have ‘improved the performance of IC systems’ by R&D Magazine, the technology is designed for a set of routine IC analyses, such as the determination of anions or cations in drinking water.

assembler equipped with an Echo® 555 acoustic liquid handler for its work in highthroughput screening and secondary screening. Dr Ge Li Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of WuXi PharmaTech said that the purchase; “demonstrates our continuous efforts to build both capabilities and capacity to help our partners to improve the success of discovery and shorten development time.”
