Atlas Copco Compressors, market leading provider of innovative compressed air solutions, has appointed a new Managing Director for the UK. Leen van Diggele joins the UK team from his current position as Managing Director of Atlas Copco Compressors in The Netherlands.

Commenting upon his appointment Leen said: “I am looking forward to the challenges presented by my new role in the UK. As you might expect, keeping the organisation moving forward and continuing to develop our market position during the current economic climate will be my top priority.”

Leen started his career with the Atlas Copco Group over 30 years ago when he joined in 1976 as a salesman in The Netherlands. Between 1979 and 1996 Leen expanded his knowledge of Atlas Copco’s Tools and Portable Air divisions holding positions including Divisional Manager for Portable Air through to Regional Managing Director of Atlas Copco Tools Benelux. In 1996 Leen moved to the position of Marketing Manager for the Industrial Air division of Atlas Copco Airpower in Belgium and then became Regional Managing Director Compressors Alpine Region in 1999. In 2003 Leen returned to The Netherlands and took up his former position as Managing Director.

In addition to his extensive industry experience, Leen also holds a degree in mechanical engineering and his different roles with Atlas Copco have provided experience of working and living in no less than five different countries in the last thirty years. Outside of office hours Leen likes to play golf and keep fit as well as learn about the country he is living in.
