The UK space industry is worth £6.5 billion and employs nearly 70,000 people, with some predicting the sector’s value to double during the next decade. So capitalising on opportunities in this field has never been more important.

However, navigating the UK and European space landscape can sometimes be difficult for SME’s and research organisations.

This event is designed to help gain more business for U.K. companies and institutions in the space market and to encourage innovative ideas and technologies to get funded through national or European agencies as well as private companies.

The agenda includes these key speakers:

• Edmund Williams, Head of Technology Harmonisation Section, European Space Agency;

• Peter Breger, European Commission

• Nick Chesher, Head of Research & Development, EADS Astrium

• Steven Austin, Head of Space Business, QinetiQ; and

• Dr Kathryn Graham, Head of Mission Concepts, Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd.
