This third annual UK NanoForum comprises a one-day conference and exhibition bringing over 100 senior international delegates from more than 20 countries, together with the best of the UK`s nanotechnology community.

The event includes keynote addresses, themed workshops, innovation awards and an exhibition showcasing more than 50 UK nanotechnology organisations, a university poster exhibition and extensive partnering opportunities.

With a focus on trade, investment and collaborations, UK NanoForum 2008 will provide a networking forum for industry, academia, venture capitalists, technology purchasers and those seeking R&D joint ventures.
Business, Innovation Awards

This inaugural competition for UK delegates and exhibitors is to identify outstanding innovative organisations in the UK nanoscience and nanotechnology communities.
The Awards will showcase the very best of British innovation, across three categories:

• Healthcare for the Modern Age,
• Clean Technologies, and
• Intelligent Connected World.

The winning UK NanoForum delegate or exhibitor for each category will be presented with a winners Award, and an exhibitor pod on the UK Pavilion at Nanotech, Tokyo 2009 (courtesy of UK Trade & Investment) and a package of press and marketing support, including the production of a promotional case study flyer (courtesy of the NanoKTN). Full package details to be confirmed.

University Poster Presentations

For the first time at UK Nanoforum, University Poster Presentations will run alongside the main exhibition throughout the afternoon on Tuesday 28 October 2008. With over 300 UK and International experts in Nanotechnology attending, this provides an excellent opportunity for young scientists to talk about their research and develop future contacts. EPSRC will give prizes of £500, £250 and £150 for the three posters which show the best communications of basic nanotechnology taken through to application.
