From Microscope to Macroscope
Apr 03 2014
For quantification analysis and documentation of forensic evidence Leica offers the FS C motorised comparison macroscope which can be used for a wide range of forensics investigations including ballistics, toolmark, and document comparison. The five apochromatically-corrected macro objectives feature a high numerical aperture and built-in, adjustable iris diaphragms for top optical performance.
The Leica FS4000 LED forensic comparison microscope enables high precision comparison of two objects at magnifications up to 1500x and supplies reliable evidence of the tiniest differences between the microstructure, texture, and colour of samples. Contrast techniques such as brightfield, fluorescence, and polarisation are provided, and the user can select a contrast mode in a fraction of a second.
Various imaging modes for both these models (split, superimposed, and combined image) can be set with the press of a button.
