Romanian Software Development Centre Launch

Waters Corporation CEO Chris O’Connell officially opened the company’s new Software Development Centre, at Brasov, Romania on September 28. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by employees, contractors, academic and community leaders. With more than 160 software engineers, applications support, product owners and support staff, the new 3,500 sq m site is home to the largest contingent of Waters® software engineers outside of corporate headquarters in the United States. Employees in Brasov create enterprise software applications which deliver benefit to new and existing customers working in various academic, government and corporate laboratories throughout the world.

The company’s software products are used primarily by drug manufacturers to manage liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry test data at all stages of the product lifecycle - discovery, development and manufacturing – with members of Brasov team skilled in C# to C++, Java, Linux, Mobile and AWS.
