Compact dry bath functions as incubator, chiller and freezer

Torrey Pines Scientific has introduced the EchoTherm™ Model IC20XR, a compact, Peltier-driven dry bath designed to freeze, chill or heat samples across a broad temperature range of -10°C to 110°C, right at the workstation.

Engineered for flexibility, the IC20XR is compatible with a wide variety of precision-machined aluminium sample blocks, accommodating assay plates, centrifuge tubes, vials, test tubes, and more. This versatility makes it ideal for applications in molecular biology labs, including hybridisations, PCR prep, ligations, and enzyme reactions.

The unit features digital temperature control accurate to 1°C, a programmable countdown timer (up to 30 days), an onboard data logger, and an RS232 interface for computer control or data capture.

Measuring just 165 mm x 222 mm x 89 mm, the compact IC20XR is supplied with a chiller/heater module, universal power supply, AC cord, and instructions. Custom block designs can be delivered within three weeks. The system is ETL, CSA, and CE certified.
