Compact top loading autoclave for labs with limited space

Feb 07 2024

The superior load capability of the Priorclave QCS range of top loading autoclaves and proven reliability coupled with space-saving features will appeal to laboratory managers in diverse industrial sectors such as food, drink, dairy, pharmaceutical, agricultural, education, healthcare as well as dedicated research establishments.

The compact design and operational flexibility of one of the newer models, the BASE EV100 autoclave, allows full programmable cycle customisation and has media warming, integrated cooling and freesteaming systems as well as drain protection.

These standard features make this top lading autoclave ideal for sterilising applications such as media preparation, handling waste loads, glassware instruments and open containers and labware. The vertical sterilising chamber, 500mm diameters and 500mm depth, is also large enough to accommodate the tallest flasks, fermentors, and bioreactors.

Access to the sterilising chamber is via a patented Quickseal single-action door opening/closing system which provides safe and secure one-handed operation. Lab staff safety is paramount therefore Priorclave has created a door system that incorporates thermal and pressure locks, prevent opening at elevated load temperature above 80ºC and pressures above 0.2bar.

Sterilising parameters are programmed easily through the Tactrol®3 controller, allowing for adjustment of temperature and time for simple cycles to fully featured multi-programme operation. This powerful controller gives unrivalled flexibility, monitoring, and management of the process cycle for greater sterilising efficiency.

During autoclave manufacture, Priorclave incorporate an anti-bacterial epoxy coating to the panels and frame. Highly effective and a permanent treatment for control of harmful bacteria, it makes surfaces cleaner, more hygienic and provides durable lifelong protection against the threat of cross contamination. The epoxy finish is proven to reduce bacterial growth by up to 99.99% and is highly effective against MRSA, E.coli, Listeria, Legionella, Campylobacter, Salmonella, Pseudomonas and over 50 other species.
