Autoclaves
Great things come in small packages

The 40-litre Benchtop is the smallest autoclave in Priorclave’s extensive range of over seventy models, making it extremely easy to accommodate and operate. Ideally suited for laboratories seeking a low-volume solution to their sterilisation and autoclave needs, or busy laboratories needing to deal with demanding mediums rapidly.
All Priorclave’s benchtop models measure just 64cm tall by 52cm wide, yet still retain all the settings and operating ability typically reserved for larger models.
Being so space-saving, measuring just 61cm deep, Priorclave’s fully electric 40-litre Benchtop can fit on a standard countertop. Its fitted 13A plug can be plugged straight into the nearest standard single-phase consumer electric supply socket.
Despite its unassuming size, a vacuum option is available for all benchtop models, which widens the standard Benchtop models by 17.5cm. Pre-cycle this addition can ensure that air is removed from difficult loads, ensuring excellent steam penetration. Whilst post-cycle vacuuming can greatly accelerate cooling and reduce condensation onto the load when used in combination with chamber wall heating.
For laboratories that require a larger chamber, without sacrificing too much space, there is Priorclave’s 60-litre Benchtop model. It also has all the benefits and features of the 40-litre benchtop, including the option of a vacuum model. Even the height and width of the 60-litre benchtop are the same as that of the 40-litre benchtop, being just 64cm tall and 52cm wide! Where the 60-litre Benchtop differs is that it is deeper measuring 81.5cm deep, facilitating a larger internal chamber.
As one would expect with any Priorclave autoclave, every benchtop is fitted with their exclusive Tactrol®3 control unit, providing authorised users with full command of all processing variables, whilst remaining fully gloved. Every benchtop model also features a quick-seal single-action door that is fitted with both thermal and pressure locks to prevent rapid opening at load temperatures above 80°C and pressures above 0.2 bar to ensure lab safety. Biomaster™, an anti-bacterial silver nano-technology, is also incorporated into all epoxy coated surfaces, providing effective long-term defence against bacteria and fungi, including MRSA. This coating also reduces the risk of microbial growth, helps reduce the risk of cross-contamination, and supports laboratory hygiene standards between cleans.
With so many variables to consider, it is impossible to predict precisely how much water will be used during a Benchtop's operation, however, on average with a condensate bottle exhaust, a Benchtop will typically consume as little as half a litre of water per cycle.
Creating such an effective autoclave in such a small package clearly illustrates Priorclave’s commitment to creating high-quality research-grade laboratory equipment that is robust, reliable, yet surprisingly affordable.
